Summary Information:
The Birriah people of Queensland have lodged a
native title application with the Federal Court for an area covering the Burdekin and Whitsunday Shires. The area applied for covers 4905km from the southern side of the Burdekin River to Bowen.

The Birriah People Native Title Application (QUD6244/1998; QC1998/012), was accepted for registration on 14 August 2007.
