Summary Information:
The National Parks, conservation parks, nature reserves, State forests and timber reserves of the State of Western Australia are all vested in the Conservation Commission of Western Australia ('the Commission').

The Commission was established on 16 November 2000 and currently reports to the Minister for Environment, Racing and Gaming ('the Minister').

According to the Commission's website, its role is to be an 'advisory and policy development body to the Minister' as well as a 'vesting body for all terrestrial conservation areas'.
