Barkly Regional Arts is a networking and resource organisation that responds to the cultural and artistic needs of the communities in the Barkly region by promoting cultural heritage and facilitating commercial development by Aboriginal artists.

The organisation is multicultural, providing advice, administrative and promotional facilities and services, and musical equipment and rehearsal space for thirteen Aboriginal language groups in the Barkly region.

The Barkly region covers over 280,000 square kilometres with a population of approximately 6,500, of whom approximately 60% are Aboriginal.
