Detailed Information:
The Agreement states that 'the Parties recognize the Justice Negotiation Group as a significant source of advice for appropriate direction on policies and strategies to reduce Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander over-representation in the Queensland criminal justice system'. The Group has the following functions: reviewing and monitoring implementation of the Agreement; coordinating an Annual Implementation Plan; giving strategic advice; planning for allocation of resources; developing links (to ensure coordination with other Government initiatives, including through the other Agreements of the Ten Year Partnership); and being a single point of contact for all other government agencies and community organisations.

The Group reports on a quarterly basis to the Ten Year Partnership Steering Committee (the Steering Committee), which has responsibility for the development and implementation of the Ten Year Partnership. It will also conduct an annual review and report on the progress and implementation of the Agreement to the Steering Committee.
