The TSIRC is one of two local councils found in the Torres Strait. The TSIRC represents the fifteen 'outer' island communities of Badu, Boigu, Dauan, Erub (Darnley), Hammond, Iama (Yam), Kubin, Mabuiag, Masig (Yorke), Mer (Murray), Poruma (Coconut), Saibai, St Pauls, Ugar (Stephen) and Warraber (Sue).
