The AgriBEE Charter Council ('the Council') is responsible for overseeing and implementing the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Transformation Charter for Agriculture ('AgriBEE'). In a speech on 20 March 2008, the launch of AgriBEE, the Minister of Agriculture announced that preperations were underway for the establishment of the Council, which will report to the Black Economic Empowerment Advisory Council on the progress of AgriBEE.
