The Watarru 'Youth Recreation Activities - Motocross Program' Shared Responsibility Agreement (SRA) is an agreement between the Commonwealth and South Australian Governments and the Watarru Indigenous Community to construct a motocross track and provide motorcycles and training and safety education, as a positive diversion program from substance abuse promoting education and healthy lifestyles.

Shared Responsibility Agreements are agreements between governments and Indigenous communities to provide discretionary funding in return for community obligations. The new arrangements developed from an initiative of the Council of Australian Governments and replace the previous ATSIC system of funding. For further information see 'Shared Responsibility Agreement' below.
    Detailed Information:
    Purpose

The Department of Health and Ageing (Cth) will provide $1,311 for a training and safety course. The Department for Families and Communities (SA) will provide in-kind support, including management and coordination of the program.

    Performance Indicators and Feedback Mechanisms
